What we do

Our ethos is simple: knowledge and impact are intertwined.
All of our products and services described below are provided in exchange for donations to charities around the world.
If you are a charity that wishes to partner with us, please do contact us and we will see what we can do for you!

All proceeds go to Charity

Our main purpose is to help aspiring consultants break into the industry, so we do not charge anything for event attendance. All of our "premium" products are offered in exchange for direct charity donations. We do not directly accept any money from our event attendees - all proceeds are processed through the charities' official portals/donation systems.

Case Interview/Skills Webinars

We aim to cover a full range of topics with an emphasis on advanced techniques and examples. Most of the free corporate workshops only cover the basics and other premium resources are too expensive for most students and entry-level candidates. Thus, our workshops and webinars are a great way to increases your chances at getting a job offer while keeping to a tight budget.

Mock Interviews

During and after our events we often offer 1:1 mock interviews in exchange for a modest donation to one of the charities of our choice. These sessions are 1 hour long and cover a complete business case simulation with detailed feedback and advice. The rates we charge are much lower than the average market rates and all proceeds go to charity!

Prep Guides

We're in the process of developing a number of case interview related e-guides that we send to our followers in exchange for a small charity donation. Subscribe to our newsletter in order to stay in touch and look out for freebies in the future!

Meet the Team

Ablay

Co-founder

Welcome! My name is Ablay, I grew up in Kazakhstan before leaving to complete A Levels in the UK. Graduating with an Economics degree from Cambridge, I left to pursue a masters at Oxford.

Through my studies and internships, I progressively developed an interest in business development and problem solving - a combination that left consulting as the best career option.

Outside of academics and professional life, I enjoy cooking, motorsports and playing the guitar.

Isaac

Co-founder

Hello, I’m Isaac. I grew up in a small but cosy island called Penang!

Having studied engineering at university, I realised my passion was rather in business & entrepreneurship instead! I’m fortunate enough to gain experiences interning across multiple industries of consulting, banking as well as big tech.

In my spare time, I swim, play basketball & hone my cooking skills by trying out new recipes.

Nattalyn

Program Manager

Hi everyone! My name is Nattalyn and I am currently studying Chemistry.

Over the past year, we’ve been confronted by such uncertainty and turbulence that it has nudged me to reflect on how I could give back to society and help others. Having said this, I like to seize any opportunities to develop new skills that could help me grow as an individual too. Grateful to be part of this team, I hope to create a social impact and make a difference together. As the saying goes, “Constant kindness can accomplish much.”

Ps. I love badminton!

Michelle

Marketing Director

Hello! I’m Michelle from the beautiful island of Penang.

I believe we, as a community collectively can instigate change and being part of this initiative grants me the opportunity to harness the skills I’ve acquired to solely create a social impact whilst enhancing my technical skills including digital marketing which is an area of expertise that I am intrigued to explore.

My other interests include music, art and I enjoy trying out different things to gain new skills with my constant desire to develop myself - professionally and personally.

Feedback from attendees

“The consulting session with Isaac and Julia from Cases for Good was more than worthwhile – the steps of the case were discussed in depth and feedback was given to students who had the opportunity to engage. I appreciated the top-down explanation of the case steps such that even the novice consultants, like myself, could understand and participate at home. It seemed Isaac and Julia genuinely wanted to impart as much knowledge as they could in the short session, I’m sure some of which will be invaluable to me in the future.”

Natasha

The mock interview session I had with Isaac was extremely valuable, both in terms of the type of case he gave as well as the quality of the feedback I received. The session was also very engaging and he helped me to not only identify my weaknesses, but also suggested tangible ways to improve my casing skills. It made a huge difference in securing my offer!

Amber
Cambridge Undergraduate

The Cases for Good team has been excellent both during the webinar and mock case interview. I liked how they not only listened to our structure and attempts but also made personalised comments on them during the interactive webinar. Ablay guided me well throughout and provided fresh insights during the feedback.

Isaac was very familiar with the interview process and question types asked at different consultancy firms and gave me some really useful and firm-specific insights. He referred me to some great resources that turned out to be extremely useful. Overall it was a very valuable experience and I would recommend anyone who is looking to improve their casing skills to book a session.

Minnie
Oxford Undergraduate

I was lucky enough to have a session with Isaac who gave me some really valuable actionable feedback after my mock interview which I will definitely be able to implement to improve my cases going forward. So thank you Cases for Good, a wonderful idea and very well executed.

Bo Ren

My experience with the Cases for Good team has been fantastic. The invaluable personal feedback I got from Isaac during our mock interview session helped me identified my weak points before my interview. Most importantly though, the market sizing casebook provided by the team also makes practicing on your own really easy due to their in-depth solutions!

Anonymous

Just completed the Mock Interview Session with Ablay, and it was definitely a very informative one. As someone who's a beginner when it comes to consulting career prep and cases, I really learnt a lot when it comes to setting up case frameworks and structuring my thoughts systematically. Ablay also gave a lot of general career advice for both business and finance.

Karthik

Isaac and Ablay were AMAZING in elaborating and summarising what consulting is and how a case is structured. It has gotten me more interested in the career and will definitely be looking out for more case and skills based webinars.

Adeel

Brilliant session with lots of useful information and a very friendly atmosphere.

Yulin

Very insightful practical advice packed within an hour, this is exactly what you need if you have a case interview on the next day.

Charitable Beneficiaries

Coronavirus Tutoring Initiative

The Coronavirus Tutoring Initiative was started in March on the same day that the UK Government announced national school closures. Unfortunately, the lockdowns only increased the disparity between those young people who can access private tutoring and those who cannot. More information available here.

We’ve decided to make Coronavirus Tutoring Initiative our first charity of choice as we believe CTI shares similar values as us such as accessibility to education. We would deeply appreciate any amount of your contributions so they can continue on the good work they do.

Oxfam

Oxfam is a global movement of people who are fighting inequality to end poverty and injustice. Across regions, from the local to the global, they work with people to bring change that lasts. More information available here.

We’ve decided to support Oxfam as our second charity of choice with a tailored Cases for Good fundraiser campaign.

UNICEF

We are raising funds for UNICEF who provide humanitarian and developmental aid to children across the globe. This means providing a safe and inclusive environment for every child, improving access to education and reducing child poverty, ultimately shielding every child from any damaging lifelong consequences. More information available here.

We’ve decided to support UNICEF as our third charity of choice with a tailored Cases for Good fundraiser campaign.

Teach for Malaysia

Not only do Teach For Malaysia understand the profound effects of education inequity, such as the economic and social well-being of each individual, but they are strongly aware of the importance of these as well. More information available here.

This factor crafts their authenticity and essence that we can greatly empathise therefore choose to support.

Jeremiah Welfare Charity Society

Jeremiah Welfare Charity Society as a non-profit and non-governmental organisation, seeks to help youth aged between 13-18 years old in the community (particularly the troubled and underprivileged) develop a healthier lifestyle by providing them with holistic education and training in order to cultivate a purposeful and disciplined life. More information available here.

We chose to support them as we acknowledge the importance of fostering a healthy educational environment and increase accessiblity to everyone.
